As probably the only ensemble of its kind in Cyprus, the ‘Papageorgio String Quartet’
with both Greek & Turkish Cypriot musicians tries to connect audience
by using diversity of interpretation for various musical style and genres
from different music backgrounds (Classical to Jazz, Latin to Rock, Film Music to Pop etc.)
Based in Nicosia - Cyprus, the P.S.Q. provides the most creative String Performance of it's kind,
tailored to fit any special event .
Winners of Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou award 2017, the members of the Quartet were trained
and have cultivated independent careers in the Classical and Modern music spheres,
and their activities as a Band have been focus mostly upon arrangements
composed exclusively for Papageorgio String Quartet by the founder of the ensemble
Constantin Papageorgio and meant to present the songs with their original
structure and harmony providing in the same time the rich colours of a
String Quartet.
